You Mean Your Network Marketing Business Didn’t Come With An Easy Button?

I find it so amazing how many people start a network marketing business with unrealistic expectations. Every week I talk with someone who wants to know the magic forumla that is going to give them business success without any real effort on their part. These individuals don’t want to make any sort of investment into their business, be it time or money; yet, they somehow think they are going to achieve great levels of financial success in this very same business.

Before starting a network marketing business, a person needs to do some deep self-examination. A person will never achieve success in this industry without the existence of three key ingredients. These ingredients are a dream, commitment and desire.

Let me start with the dream. Your dream is often referred to as your “why.” It is the reason why you are considering newtork marketing in the first place. Your reason for entering this business could be as simple as debt reduction or as complex as philanthropic work. Your why sets the desired outcome of your business. This desired outcome becomes the true north behind everything that you do. If you lack a substantial dream, you will also lack clear focus and direction. Your day to day efforts are guided by your dream, since it is your dream that gives purpose to your work.

Commitment is required to keep the dream alive. Without commitment is much too easy to give up and quit. Commitment requires a decision of the heart and mind that you will continue on this journey until you’ve reached your final destination. Because of the commitment you have made to yourself, there is no obstacle that will cause you to retreat from the pursuit of your goal. When things get difficult, you will simply choose to dig in and push forward that much harder, but quitting is never an option under any circumstance.

The final ingredient is desire. It is a person’s desire that puts action to their internal commitments. Desire becomes the internal drive that leads a person to do the work necessary to fufill their commitment, no matter how long that may take. A person with drive will find as many productive uses for their time as possible, while a person without drive will find as many non-productive excuses for that same amount of time. This same quality compels and individual to spend time improving and sharpening their skills and abilities, in an effort to improve their overall productivity.

In the end, you must remember that this is YOUR MLM business. In the end it will be YOUR dream, commitment and drive that determine whether or not your succeed or fail.
